Yes. Only one week until The Hunger Games movie hits theaters. It's felt like a lifetime already and I'm sure this week will only drag just as slowly. With so much time to waste until March 23rd, what can a fan do to pass the time?

What to do for a week
Re-read the books
To prepare for the big day, I am re-reading the trilogy. Again. I've already read The Hunger Games and am currently working on Catching Fire. Can those books ever get old? I think not. If for some reason you haven't read at least the first book yet, there's still time! Check out my review for The Hunger Games trilogy and immidiately proceed to read them. Trust me. They are now my all-time favorite series.

Stock up on Hunger Games paraphernalia
If you call yourself a fan of The Hunger Games and don't already have your mockingjay pin and at least one tee-shirt or poster, then you need to re-evaluate your status as a fan. Not really, just the hardcore ones. Last week I finally got my mockingjay pin in the mail and I have worn it everyday since. I absolutely love it. I also got a mockingjay tee-shirt, a Katniss & Peeta keychain, and the Us Magazine Hunger Games edition, which provided me with 3 fabulous posters for my wall as well. You can get all your Hunger Games needs (except for the pin) at Hottopic, even Katniss' bow!

Watch the Hunger Games sneak-peaks
You heard me, Hunger Games sneak peaks! The makers of the movie have been teasing and taunting us with short clips and pictures from the upcoming movie. My favorite yet is a 40 second clip of Katniss shooting arrows at her private training with the Gamemakers. Here it is:

Doesn't that just give you goosebumps? And there's more where that came from. There is also a short clip of when Katniss meets Cinna: [link]. And how can I forget the clip of Peeta's interview with Caesar Flickerman! [link]. It's probably not healthy to be this excited about one movie.

Look up funny Hunger Games pictures
If all else fails, you can always resort to looking up funny pictures of the Hunger Games on the internet. I myself have found this to be a great way to pass the time and some have even managed to make me laugh. Here are just a few of the pictures I've found while browsing the wonders of the internet.

These are just a few of the fabulous things I've found in the deep recesses of the internet. Mostly from looking at the  Hunger Games tag on Tumblr. There are multitudes of them, though, and you should probably take a look for yourself. My personal favorites tend to be the Peeta related ones, but what can I say?

If you've done all of these things and still need something to do, you should check out my first Can't Wait: The Hunger Games movie post where I also listed some fun Hunger Games related activities for my fellow HungerGamesophiles (if that isn't a word, it should be.) I hope that this has helped you while you wait probably-not-so-patiently for March 23rd. Until then, may the odds be ever in your favor!
