Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that
spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Title: Destined (Wings #4)

Author: Aprilynne Pike

Publication: May 1st, 2012

Add: GoodReads | Amazon

Description:  Tamani looked at her gravely, and reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear.

He hesitated for an instant, then his hands found the sides of her face, pulling her to him. He didn't kiss her, just held her face close to his, their foreheads resting together, their noses almost touching.

She hated how much it felt like good-bye.

Laurel now knows the truth: Yuki is a rare Winter faerie, the most powerful—and deadly—of all, and Klea plans to use her to help conquer and destroy Avalon. But Klea's reach extends far beyond one wild Winter faerie. With Tamani, David, and Chelsea by her side, Laurel prepares to face what may be Avalon's final days, in the stunning conclusion to the Wings series.

Why I'm Waiting: WOW is supposed to showcase books that aren't out yet, but since Destined only came out yesterday and I only found out about it a few days ago, I decided to go ahead and do it anyway.

This last summer I discovered the first three Wings books and really enjoyed them, so I've been wondering when the next book would finally come out. I checked and checked the author's website, but didn't hear anything about it. Then, just a few days ago, I remembered the series and decided to check again. At last! Here it is. And I just love that cover, it's so pretty. I can't wait to find out the what happens next in Laurel's story. For those of you who have read the first books, I am hardcore Team Tamani and I really really hope that Laurel goes with him in this book... Sigh. For those of you that haven't read Wings, Spells, and Illusions, I recommend that you do!

What are you guys waiting to read?

*Update: Lookie what I found on the I'm Lovin' Books blog. Soo fabulous.

It is perfect and I've added it to my Meet Linny page along with a few of the other "team" stickers.

Hi Linny! Great pick, this series is awesome. And yay for team Tamani! =D

It does! LOVING the little bit with Tamani in the first part of the description. :D

You should! I really enjoyed them and their outlook on fairies is quite original. And your welcome. :)

So glad to hear a "yay" for Tamani! :D I mean, David is alright, but alright doesn't cut it when there's an awesome guy who is crazy about you - and a fairy might I add!

You should check it out! It's got such a unique storyline and I love it. It's the series that convinced me that fairies could be badass. ;)

I've never read any of the books in this series (I KNOW. I can be so outdated sometimes xD), but I've heard a lot about it! Really gotta go check it out some time...

Thanks for sharing!

Haha, that's okay! It might actually be better that you waited because, since this is the last book in the series, you didn't have to wait for any of them! Major plus if you ask me.

Nice pick! I have a lot of friends who said Destined was really good. I need to get started on Wings. I've had it forever. Thanks for sharing!

I'm a new follower! Your blog is super cute!

Glad to hear they thought it was good! Would be such a bummer to have the last book in the series be a flop. And you should read Wings! I just love the original outlook on fairies.

Thank you, I appreciate it! :) And I'm always happy to hear that someone likes my blog design because I put way too much time into it, haha.

I've had Illusious since it first came out. I think thats been almost year ago. With all my review book I haven't been able to read it yet :( I love this series and so glad to hear your a Team Tamani Linny, so am I. Love Tamani, and maybe I will get to read Illusious soon lol! Great book to wait for Linny :)

You should definitely give it a go! And I stopped by your WoW ;)

I hope I do too! Would be a bummer if it ended badly.. or she chose David instead of Tamani or something ridiculous like that. And you've only read the 1st one? Did you not enjoy it or just haven't gotten around to reading the others? Interested in hearing your thoughts.

Aww sorry to hear you haven't gotten to read it. Seems like an ever-replenishing stack of books waiting to be read that a person can never get to the they really want to read.

So happy to hear you're Team Tamani as well! I don't actually have any friends who've read this series yet so I don't have anyone to complain about David to or drool over Tamani with, so this is great haha.
